Vida Lahey (1882–1968) was an Australian painter who, alongside artist Daphne Mayo, created the Queensland Art Fund to raise money for the Queensland National Art Gallery (now GOMA). She advocated for and provided children’s art classes in the gallery, and, in Art for All, makes an “urgent plea to combat the ugliness and monotony of the modern world through imagination and a pleasing environment.” Ref: ADB. Held in NLA.

Crease running through centre, minor paper loss and sticker remnant upper right, slight discolouration.
